Well Calibrated Ignorance in UK School
This is almost so outrageous, I’m tempted to think it’s a jest. It seems that some British schools are starting to drop certain topics from their history curriculum for fear of offending the Muslim children. Which topics, you ask? Namely the Holocaust and the Crusades.
The reason, according to the Daily Mail, is because some of the things taught in the normal state curriculum contradicts what is taught in the local mosques. Things specifically pertaining to the Holocaust and the Crusades.
Gee, I wonder if the same schools are teaching things that might contradict what is taught in certain local Christian churches. Why would the opinions of Muslims receive such special respect?
After the Holocaust, the world said, “Never Again.” Yeah. Right.
I imagine ‘never again’ has been said so many times in history, it’s pretty much lost its meaning.
Oh well. Nice thought, isn’t it?

Islam will slowly spread and become dominant in areas it traditionally had no sway. It is conquest by immigration. It also appeals to man’s fallen side. I fully expect that it might become a dominant religion, and there will be many more martyrs.
Besides, those who don’t know history (Western civilization) are doomed to repeat it (Holocaust, Crusades). Even then, we seem to revel in causing great destruction and anguish. That throws the “all men are good” philosophy out the window, doesn’t it?

How did it get to the point that those of us who insist that the Holocaust be taught are seen as the radicals?
